Quality
TESTING
To ensure
that all Caproco equipment operates correctly in the field, performance
testing is incorporated into the manufacturing and quality assurance process.
Some tests are designed to simulate realistic field conditions (e.g. retriever
operation under pressure) while others verify the product meets required
codes (e.g. X-Ray of welded component).
Pressure
Testing
Pressure testing of manufactured products is performed at one-and-a-half
times the respective pressure rating, on our in-house test station. Retrievers
and service valves are operated under pressure to ensure proper operation.
Probe
/ Electronic Analyzer Testing
All Caproco probes are initially calibrated and electronically bench tested,
pressure tested, and re-tested to verify calibration and fully functioning
electrical systems.
Weld
Testing
Welded components, such as high-pressure tee access fitting assemblies,
often require weld integrity verification before they can be installed
on-line. Caproco regularly submits welded assemblies to third party inspectors
for the following non-destructive examinations:
- Ultrasonic
- Radiographic (X-Ray)
- Electromagnetic
- Liquid Penetrant / Magnetic Particle
- Positive Material Identification (PMI)

Certification
reports are available to be included in Caproco MRB reports. All in-house
and third party testing is undertaken and documented according to ISO
9000 standards and procedures.
